HOL-North Mad Anthony Street, Municipal Culvert Rehabilitation Project
The HOL-North Mad Anthony Street, Municipal Culvert Rehabilitation Project relocated and replaced approximately 44’ of existing 4’ span x 3’ rise reinforced concrete and stone pipe arch with 60’ of 4’ span x 4’ rise precast concrete box culvert including cast-in-place reinforced concrete culvert transition section to the existing culvert and approximately 61’ of 11’-6” maximum height reinforced concrete retaining wall and culvert headwall. Design services included surveying and engineering for removal and replacement of 75’ of asphalt street, 109’ of paved shoulder, 86’ of 4’ concrete sidewalk; as well as 25’ of relocated 4” water main, 34’ of relocated ¾” water service line and the protection of 6” sanitary sewer under the proposed box culvert with 20’ of concrete encasement. A particularly challenging aspect of this project was the removal of the concrete culvert outlet which was only 1’ away from the basement wall of a residence
